The last time I got to photograph this little cutie pie, she was just about to turn one. So when Emma got out of the car, basically all grown up (Okay maybe not THAT old, but still she’s so big now!) and still as adorable as ever, I melted into a puddle immediately! She is so spunky and basically a ray of sunshine that walks the earth! She loved getting to pick flowers for us, and grabbing onto Stephanie and Derek’s hands while they swung her up and down!
Before our casper mountain session, because we live in good ole Wyoming and the weather simply cannot make up its mind, it was pouring rain. Which made for a wet mucky landscape. But these three never said a thing! By the end our legs were sopping wet and Stephanie was starting to have an allergic reaction to the wet weeds. (Which sent me into ‘Oh my goodness what have I done!’ mode) And they STILL smiled the whole time!!! I have yet to have one photo session go 100% as planned. I love getting to share not just the happy joyful side of my sessions, but the crazy unexpected things that happen in between. I never want to play a part that everything is perfect. Life gets mucky, and the best thing you can do is give your loved ones a huge squeeze and laugh!
Just as I got into my car to drive off from the session I heard a tiny, super adorable, voice say “Thank you Hayden” and just like that I about started crying! Stephanie, Emma and Derek, Thank you three so much for letting me photograph you guys! You were so amazing and I loved getting to hang out with you! Now go tell Emma to stop growing because two is old enough! 😉
