I try to say thank you A LOT. like an unprecedented amount of times. It is practically a reflex at this point. Open a door “Thank you!” book a session “Thank you!” compliment a photo “Thank you!” blink in my direction “Thank you!”. So why on earth would I need to dedicate an ENTIRE blog post to the subject? Because when I first picked up my camera, I had low hopes. That is not a typo, you read that correctly, LOW HOPES. For my first year in business I had the goal of booking 5 sessions, yup 5. And if you have been following progress, that goal has been met, slapped on the behind, and put out to pasture long ago! So much so that I have slowly started to have (dare I say) HIGH HOPES. So with my first year since a started calling myself a “photographer” approaching, it only felt appropriate to take notice of the amazing people pushing me to grow and take chances everyday. It blows my mind that I am running a business, booking amazing clients, filling up my calendar, and that this hobby has morphed into an amazing side hustle that I can’t believe is my own! The love I have received from clients and supporters is truly something I treasure. Everyday I am overwhelmed at the words of encouragement, wonderful thank you cards, and all of the positivity I get enveloped with! So to everyone who I have ever photographed, anyone who referred one of my sessions, sent positive vibes my way, or even hit that ‘like’ or ‘share’ button on one of my posts, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, A MILLION TIMES THANK YOU. Because you’re the only reason this little business has any life in it. And don’t you worry, I’m sure I will tell you this 876 more times before the year is up :).
