Casper Mountain | Archery Range | Westover Family Session

Wind is something here in Wyoming that we all have to deal with. Even on a calm day we still practically have a constant breeze. But nothing kicks those blustery days into gear quite like fall weather. The leaves change and the wind blows by to take all of our beautiful colors away. But in retrospect, I will take the wind over snow just almost any day, especially when a session is involved. And that is exactly what we did on this time, when there was snow on the forecast we decided wind was the better option and changed days without thinking twice! So this Saturday (Which felt more like a Windsday… Get it? Okay, I’ll stop now.) we met up on Casper Mountain.

Emily, Bruce, and their 3 beautiful children moved to Wyoming in August of this year from Minnesota. The two oldest Lindy, and William showed off their awesome smiles with so much enthusiasm I could hardly handle it! Their youngest Evelyn, who will be turning 1 very soon, snuggled up with mom in the wind, but when she decided it was time to strut her stuff, fought through the gusts like a champ! I love watching families interact, and seeing this family’s strong bond was one I will not soon forget! So thank you so much to the Westover family for getting in front of my lens, even if it was horribly windy, I am too glad I got to photograph your wonderful family!
