Jaylee, you are officially eight years old! You keep saying you still feel seven. And honestly you being eight doesn’t feel real to me either! You are a firecracker of a kid who goes out of her way to make people laugh. Your physical comedy is second to none and your love for any book you pick up makes my heart so proud. You spent your whole summer with your nose in a book, discovered the library and how much fun it can be. Last year you were a unicorn fanatic. Now, your love for unicorns has only grown with age.

I remember when you were a baby and I was determined to not push girly things on you. From dressing you as batman for halloween to trying to avoid pink anything. Well, now you LOVE all things girly and I love YOU for it! Your obsession with slime is only slightly out of control (Oh my goodness I cannot wait for that to end kiddo!) and your squishies are a close second along with scrunchies (that I am all too happy to accommodate to avoid any slime!). You’ve grown into your role as a sassy big sister. You take care of your brother and read to him every chance you get, but also REALLY want him to keep out of your room and stop bugging you xD. Also, you now have the CUTEST toothless smile! You are so proud of those lost teeth that took ‘forever!’ to fall out!

You are crazy creative, and I know this because not a day goes by that you are not scouring the craft closet looking for something to glue, tape, cut, bead, you name it! You are so generous and think of others so often. You worry about peoples feelings and are always trying to think of ways to make everyone around you smile. You are confident, silly, independent, and so loved by by all of us! You were my first baby and I can’t say enough how blessed I am that I have you. You make being your mom the best job on the planet little JayBug, and I love you so much!
