Saturday was a first for Hayden Esau Photography! Our first out of state wedding, and I’m so happy It was with Ashley and Zach! These two have been amazing to work with from the start. I actually met them both last year when Zach was a groomsman for one of my awesome #HEPcouples. From our first coffee date to the engagement session, every time I saw these two I just got more and more excited to photograph their wedding!
Held at the Deadwood Gulch in South Dakota, their teal and purple day did not disappoint! Now, while the weather forecast promised no rain, that did not make the dark heavy clouds looming over any less frightening. Every few moments it was in the back of my mind that the sky could start pouring at any second. But aside from the lightest drizzles, we made it through the whole day without it pouring!!!
Their ceremony was officiated by their friend Casey (a past HEP Groom!) and was full of joy and laughter. During the ceremony, they planted Wyoming soil in a plant symbolizing their union together. This was my first time seeing this tradition and I absolutly loved it! After they sealed the deal with a kiss, we snuck away for their husband and wife portraits. Where Zach gave Ashley a pearl necklace to remember the day with. They belly laughed and snuggled through it all, making Troy and my job a breeze!
Once at the reception, they danced to Coldplay’s Yellow, beaming at each other now that they were officially husband and wife. And also, I loved how much these two enjoyed their reception! They got out on the dance floor and danced the night away making every moment count!
Mr and Mrs. BURNES! Thank you guys! From the bottom of my heart! We enjoyed your wedding so much and cannot wait for the beautiful life you share together! I hope you both never lose the laughter you share, and continue to make all the moments count! Love ya guys!
