From the moment I walked into the getting ready room on Hannah and Leighton’s wedding day, I felt all the feels! The groom had a letter and flowers delivered to his bride to be. When she read it aloud, her eyes watered with joy. While her bridesmaids listened, fighting off tears of their own, smiling at this gorgeous bride. And that was just the beginning of a wonderful wedding day.

I always talk about the details with my couples. How the details seem small. But can carry some of the biggest importance and emotional weight on your wedding day. Hannah’s mother gave her a charm to remember her late father by, that read “Walk with me today Dad” which she placed onto her bouquet. Those are the details I’m talking about.

One of my favorites to photograph are first looks. I’m a sucker for a first look. And this one made my heart so happy! Hannah and I headed down the walking path to where Leighton was waiting to see his soul mate. Once she was perfectly in place she turned to me and gave me a thumbs up, I nodded grinning from ear to ear. She called his name. And guys, when he turned around… and his eyes locked onto his future wife… he practically gasped. Eyes filled with tears he embraced her. “You’re so beautiful!”

Once these two beautiful people has said their vows and the knot was officially tied, they hopped into the thunderbird, (got a quick jump) and headed to the reception. The fact that they chose for the reception to take place at the same place that they met, years ago, at a friends wedding, was the icing on the cake!

Hannah and Leighton, thank you both so much for trusting me to create these memories for you. I could tell from our first coffee date how in love you two are, and your wedding day only cemented that feeling! Congratulations you two Burgens!!! Love ya guys!
