I sat in my car watching rain pour from the clouds, and lightning rip across the sky. Dramatic much? Maybe. But when there are photos to take, it FEELS dramatic! I started the drive up the mountain. I kept trying to watch the clouds, to try and see which way they were floating. As I heading up up up, the rain slowed, the storm was skirting right past the mountain without a second thought! And guys, I am so stoked that it did! Because when this family stepped out of the car, to nothing but cloudy skies. To say I was excited would be playing coy. I WAS THRILLED, STOKED, AND PRACTICALLY GIDDY!

Amanda and Kramer’s boys have grown so much since I photographed them in December! Asher with his beautiful eyes and adorable chunky legs will be celebrating his first birthday on Saturday! Rylan is such a hilarious, handsome, awesome big brother! Helping out whenever he can, while sneaking in a few jokes to keep us all on our toes! This beautiful family is just full of bright happiness that is infectious when you’re around them!

Thank you so much, Amanda, Kramer, Rylan, and Asher! You guys were so amazing to get to hang out with! I am so happy we braved the storm and DID NOT get struck by lightning! (Whoohoo!) But getting to photograph you guys… was totally worth the risk!!!!
