How To Plan A Wedding | Week 13

It’s here! It’s here! Week 13 is here! So let’s get our buns back into planning that wedding!

I you missed last week, I’ve got you covered with Week 12!

Final Dress Fitting (now till the week before) – Pack up those undies and wedding shoes because its time for your final fitting! Decide on any final adjustments with your seamstress and take a good look at your gorgeous self in your perfect dress cause your bout to be married in it!!!

Stock Bar– Weather you have an open bar, or cash bar, get with the bartender to find out and final details. Find out if they have any rules beforehand (Such and a drink limit, stamps, wristbands etc.) So that you will know about their rules beforehand. If you have a signature cocktail or your favorite beer you love to drink together, ask if they could provide it! If you are planning the DIY route, here is a good link that will have everything you could possibly need to stock the bar!

Send Final Payments– Final payments for vendors could carry from the month of the wedding all the way to the day of the wedding. I personally recommend taking care of what you can prior to the wedding day. By getting all of your ducks in a row and having those check in the mail now, will mean one less thing to worry about on the wedding day. And I am all about less stress! Plus, on the biggest day of your lives, you definitely do not want to be stressing over money and who needs paid what. That should be the furthest thing from your mind!

Assign seats– There are plenty of alternatives to assigning seating at your reception and having your guest sit on the “brides side” or “grooms side”. From cute chalkboard signs that tell you guests to sit where their hearts desire, to just assigning tables and not specific seats. These might be right up your alley if one of your goals is a stress free planning (One less this to fret over amirite?!). But that said, I do see the appeal in the seating arrangement. A few pros of the seating chart are that the dinner portion of your wedding will be streamlined. No guest will be fumbling around looking for a place to sit after bottlenecking into the reception hall or out of the buffet line. Also, if you do not have a table specifically reserved for the bridal party, and do not have a seating chart, this could be a recipe to get stuck sitting next to a very talkative and very distant relative (I feel like we all have at least one!).

That’s it for week 13! Head on over to Week 14 because we are so close to your big day! I can already taste that wedding cake!!! EEEeeeek!
