It has been one cloudy winter season you guys. And while I love photographing families on any day, and clouds really open up different backdrops I can’t use on a sunny day. I do miss yummy glowy light in the winter. So can you imagine how stoked I was when right before this weekends session the clouds parted and the sun started to shine! Oh man, I was pumped!!! Because there is seriously nothing like warm golden hour light!

Before every family session, I have the same advice… Bribery is key! Now before you pick up your pitch forks, I know bribing your kiddos is not the best policy. But heck, every once in a while, it’s worth it! And each session when it is time for the parents to break out the big guns, I love hearing what their kiddos love above all else. And I’ve heard some goodies! From chicken nuggets, to movie night, to cheese-its! It is so much fun for me to find out what makes little ones light up for the camera! So when I arrived at David Street Station for the Elliot’s family session, and I heard the words “remember, we have bagels!” ohhemmgeee it was awesome! I loved it!! Seriously who doesn’t love a good old fashioned bagel?!?!

But let’s be honest, I loved this entire session. From meeting Matt and Shelby’s 3 wonderful boys and super sweet baby girl, to watching them do parkour all over the station! It was pretty fantastic. This amazing couple has such a beautiful vibrant family that I could have photographed all day (Can you blame me? I mean look at all that love and perfectly coordinated outfits!). But as the sun started to fade, and our session came to a close, nothing made these littles one smile bigger then when mom busted out those amazing blueberry bagels.
