By this time next year my little sister ChyAnna will be married to Jordan and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them! As youngsters, before I had the guts to make actual friends, Chy was always there. We grew up on Barbies, Playmobil, and iTunes music. We got on each others nerves far more than we got along, but that is expected when you have to share a bathroom with another teenage girl. I remember constantly being chased around the house by my much faster younger sister until our parents locked us outside for being obnoxious. Now that we are adults she is the most amazing aunt my kids could ever ask for. With how much I love my little sister and all the memories we have, I am so thrilled that she has found someone she cares so much for, that loves her back just as much.

These two have been at each other’s side for longer than I can remember. So much so that Jordan is pretty much already a member of our family. They fill each other with so much joy it overflows to everyone around them. I was so excited to be able to photograph their engagement session and be around that exact joy! Jordan took us off the beaten path to a beautiful location that matched this beautiful couple. While the week of autumn Wyoming residents receive has come and gone, the wind had not quite swept up all the leaves scattered around our feet. As we crunched through them shivering in the brisk fall air these two had the best attitudes! They handled the cold like champs and completely blew this photographer away with their positive attitudes and willingness to let me experiment. Oh and did I mention, they brought along a fur baby?! And oh boy was Ophelia stoked to romp around outside! And I was just as stoked to photograph this furry bearded subject!

While it still blows my mind that these two are going to be married soon, because I always see my sisters as much younger than they really are, a part of me cannot wait for that day! When Chy marries the man of her dreams and our family officially gains a truly fantastic guy. Congratulations ChyAnna and Jordan!
