I remember when I first met Adam and Maureen. I instantly fell in love with their story and relationship. They shared with me how they were sitting at home, listening to Lake Street Dive’s song Hell Yeah. When Adam got down on one knee, asked Maureen to marry him, and she said “Hell Yeah!”. I couldn’t stop smiling! That is the thing about these two, they have light and laughter that envelopes the whole room.
They held their lavender and lace, rustic themed wedding this past Saturday. From their loving family, to their fantastic group of friends they have dubbed the “Brunchinators” Mr. and Mrs. Nelson’s wedding was filled with wonderful people that traveled so far to share in their special day, hosted in Maureen’s Mother and Perry’s backyard. Even when the wind picked up, and practically took the tents, tables, and decorations away. The family rallied around them, rearranging the entire shelter and redecorating like crazy to ensure the wedding would be nothing short of beautiful.
There were so many heart warming moments that stood out from this wedding. But one that stands alone, was when Maureen’s youngest sister, Carrie, toasted to the couple. Sharing stories of their childhood, remembering their late father, and welcoming Adam to the family with a hug, I could barley hold back tears.
Maureen and Adam, Than you so much for letting me play a small part in this amazing day. You truly are soulmates. I hope the love you share is never ending and you celebrate so many years of happy marriage together!!!!
